Careers and University Counselling
Choosing a career and finding the right university is an opportunity. JBS is committed to helping all students discover their professional and personal interests through the Career and University Counselling program starting from Grade 9. This program gives support to students interested in continuing their education locally or abroad so they receive the necessary advice to apply to universities and to perform successfully in different cultural and educational contexts through the counselling program.
JBS has a full-time career and university counsellor who oversees Grades 9 to 12, and who supports students with career and university advice and guidance throughout their application process.To have access to more information, please visit the careers and university counselling intranet that provides specific information that will prove useful to families whose students are in Grades 8 to 12.Students can also connect with us on the JBS Career and University Counselling Office Facebook group

University Visits
JBS welcomes college and university admissions representatives throughout the school year to speak with interested students during lunch breaks. These visits are announced through Facebook, through the Careers and University Counselling Intranet and the Careers Team in Microsoft Teams.
Student and parents who wish to reach out to any of these representatives can also contact our University Counsellor for the contact information of a visiting representative.

Events organized by universities, colleges or other organizations
JBS organizes different events, lectures and presentations as part of the school activities offered at JBS. Students are also kept informed of relevant external events, university fairs, scholarship options and webinars to support them in their career and university exploration, and in their applications. All these opportunities are also announced through Facebook, through the Careers and University Counselling Intranet and the Careers Team in Microsoft Teams.

For College & University Admissions Representatives
We are happy to receive college and university admissions visitors between 12:20 pm and 12:40 pm from Monday-Thursdays throughout the academic year to meet with our counsellor and students in a short college fair-style format.
